HYPNOSIS THERAPY FOR PANIC ATTACKS ARE PANIC ATTACKS DANGEROUS? Whilst terrifying to the sufferer, panic attacks are not really dangerous. The suffering of panic attacks is known as Panic Disorder and is frightening because of the symptoms experienced during a panic attack. Symptoms such as rapid heartbeating, difficulty breathing or rapid breathing, sweating, choking, fear of loss of control, pains in the chest, fear of terror, possibly fear of dying , dizziness or light-headedness, nausea, hot flushes or coldness, tingling or numbness in various parts of the body. Panic attacks can lead to other complications eg.the development of phobias such as claustrophobia, social phobia and agoraphobia. Depression is common and may even lead to suicidal thoughts. Panic attack sufferers in the worse cases have a total inability to face the outside world. The greatest fear that a Panic Attack sufferer has is the fear of having another attack. They avoid situations, no matter how irrational, in order to protect themselves. HOW CAN HYPNOTHERAPY HYPNOSIS THERAPY HELP PANIC ATTACKS? Hypnotherapy is helpful in treating sufferers of panic disorder. Whilst in trance, the subconscious is accessed and the original reasons for the disorder can be unearthed. This normally occurs when young (between the ages of 1 - 6 years old) and develops into a full blown fear of a particular situation. By revisiting the original memory and interpreting it as an adult, the correct interpretation can be made, thus removing the irrational fear.

WHAT CLIENTS SAY: "I got on the Tube the day after our session. I couldn't believe what I was doing. It felt strange but OK. I went on for two stops and got off. The next day I went all the way to my station without getting off. No sweats, no rapid heart rate, no nausea. Weird but thank you!" T.P.
