HYPNOTHERAPY HYPNOSIS THERAPY FOR FEAR OF VOMITING
Emetophobia -
Fear of vomiting,
fear of being
sick or others being Those who suffer from Emetophobia are called emetophobes. They fall into two groups - those with a fear or vomiting themselves and those with a fear of others vomiting, being sick near to them. It is the fifth most common phobia. Characteristics of an emetophobe:
HOW HYPNOTHERAPY HYPNOSIS THERAPY CAN TREAT FEAR OF VOMITING Emetophobia most commonly develops from a childhood fear that has never been outgrown. Perhaps a traumatic incident was witnessed when young, a person being sick close to them or on them, maybe they themselves being sick. One particular client suffering from Emetophobia revealed the following information whilst in hypnosis: She was around 7 years on a day trip with her Brownie pack. They were visiting a funfair and decided to go on a scary ride. She was violently sick in front of everybody. Her emotions at that time were not only of discomfort but very strong feelings of acute embarrassment. Her subconscious revealed her deepest fear was to put herself in any situation in the future where she may be sick. This led her in adulthood to being afraid of flying, public transport, eating in restaurants etc. Regression Hypnotherapy will allow a person to remember that particular event and review it with 'adult' eyes this time around. This will then allow them to interpret the event correctly and it will no longer be an issue for them. |
WHAT CLIENTS SAY:
"I think I
have made some good progress with many situations for example:
- I am not so anxious about going on a train late at night with the drunks - I don't mind walking around hospital corridors - I am calm and relaxed to give people alcoholic drinks if staying in my house and don't feel the need to water them down - I am happy to travel in the back of the car (for a short time) sitting with other passengers even if the driver drives erratically - I don't feel the need to have headphones and earplugs by my bed in case I hear something funny in the night (I will probably be asleep)

"I've been so busy organising
our wedding and am feeling really well.
"My young son needed some trainers and asked me to take him to the shopping centre. Normally I would have felt very uneasy but we went, bought the trainers, and even had a coffee while we were out. I know it doesn't sound much but I can assure you that was a major step for me. Thank you" K.C.
